A Season of Life and Death is a celebration of the changing of the seasons from autumn to winter. it is a season of modern celebrations like Halloween and Armistice day and much more ancient ones in Samhain and the winter solstice. This time of year is one in which death is an ever present reality in nature. This year we are also still in the grips of the COVID19 pandemic and the trauma it has caused.
This zine was inspired written with these things in mind and share stories of the reality of death and the life and hope that often finds it place within these moments. It is a collection of photos, words, music and more that has been contributed by members of the BeachcomberFX community.
